Practical life
Pouring, buttoning, sweeping, preparing snack. Independence, concentration, and confident hands.
Our program
A mixed-age Montessori classroom lets the little ones learn from the big ones, and the big ones learn by leading. With at most twelve children and three teachers, every child is known.

How immersion works
In the first weeks, routines, songs, gestures and pictures make Spanish understandable even to a brand-new two-year-old.
Within weeks children follow instructions, stories and jokes. Understanding always comes before speaking, and that is exactly right.
Single words, then phrases, then whole sentences, usually within months. We never pressure; we celebrate.
By the second year, many children switch between English and Spanish without noticing. That flexibility is the gift.
What children learn
Pouring, buttoning, sweeping, preparing snack. Independence, concentration, and confident hands.
Materials that isolate size, color, weight, sound and texture, so children learn to notice and compare.
Rich Spanish vocabulary, sound games, sandpaper letters and the first steps into reading and writing.
Counting beads, number rods and the decimal system, held in the hands before it lives in the head.
Maps, animals, plants, the seasons, and the traditions of the Spanish-speaking world.
Singing every day, and a visiting music teacher once a week.
Simple poses and quiet breathing, so children learn to find calm in their own bodies.
Paint, clay, collage and plenty of process over product.
JJ Byrne Playground on nice days, and big movement indoors when the weather says no.
A day at Imagine
A typical day. Times are approximate and follow the children.

Arrival, hang up your coat, greet your friends in Spanish.
Children choose Montessori materials; teachers give one-on-one lessons.
Songs, the calendar, and a story in Spanish.
The playground on nice days; movement and yoga in the studio when it rains.
Packed from home, eaten together.
Younger children rest; older children keep working.
The special of the day, from our music teacher to hands-on experiments.
A last story, then pickup at 3:00.
Schedules
Our day runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. It's short on purpose: long enough for a full Montessori work cycle, lunch, rest and time outside, and short enough that two- and three-year-olds go home happy rather than exhausted. We don't offer early drop-off or extended day. Families choose two, three or five days a week.
